Week 20: Nov 1st -7th

This week, Jacob attached the microphone to the project and secured all motors for final positions. While testing the arm for with the microphone attached, a problem was discovered in which the motor has trouble lifting the arm with the weight of the microphone at the end. In order to rectify this problem, a counterweight will be added to the other side of the up/down arm. The weight will provide a down forced on the opposite end of the up/down arm that the microphone is on and relieve the amount of toque needed by the motor. With all of the testing done so far, the battery has drained to a low level, so battery charging was also tested this week. It took about an hour for the battery to charge to full capacity from a near fully drained state.
